With family love, Nancy Gruner Urvan G-75-36

May the Star of Bethlehem shine brightly before you this
Christmas and may all of you bask in its glow and enjoy
its blessings throughout the New Year.

Christmas Greetings
Hello Gruner family, Donna Louise here, born of Nancy
Carolyn Gruner and Alcy Earl Newby on August 29, 1965 on
the military base in Corpus Christi TX. I currently reside
in beautiful Northern California, Cupertino to be exact. My
daughter Shawna and I with my boyfriend of 3.5 years, Richard
just moved into an adorable little house which nestles
nicely up against a beautiful tree lined golf course. I am
working for a quaint little hospital in Los Gatos as the
Communications Operator. Life is great and being this close
to San Francisco is even better than expected.
We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a
safe entrance into the New Year of 2010.

Well, time got away from me again. I suppose it
happens to all of us now and again, but I'm stopping
now to offer my thoughts on the season.
Even though Thanksgiving has passed for another year,
I think we can still be grateful at Christmastime.
We can be thankful for warm homes in the cold, a good
meal on the table and friends and family for support,
comfort and companionship. Life may not be perfect but
it's pretty darn good and I'm grateful for that. I hope
everyone has a lovely Christmas and a happy and safe
New Year.
Oh, and one more thing to be thankful for
- the reunion this summer. I'm glad we have a big
family to get together and visit and have a good
time together.
Sylvia G-24-111

I was born into the Gruner family in 1944 but
have only in recent months acknowledged that
relationship. That reconnection has turned out
to be one of the most significant and life-changing
events of my life. The year began with the loss of
my sister but ended with the gain of my mother's
sister in search of my half-sister. The experiences
of this year has been like one big gift culminating
in the fresh enjoyment of the gatherings and fellowship
of family during this Christmas season. I wish to
convey the profoundest Merry Christmas to all I am
privileged to share this family heritage.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all
and a special welcome to Pete Frye.
I hope to meet many of you at the Reunion being
planned for next summer. I think Bruce and Sylvia
are putting a lot of effort into making it a
weekend affair designed to allow us to meet and
get to know so many of our far flung cousins.
Being a part of the "Older Generation" (April 1, 1930)
and one of the few still living within a very few
miles of the site, as well as the original reunion
Site, I intend to be there for sure !
