Tommi Elizabeth (Beth) died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Highland Springs, Virginia. She was born September 30, 1990 in Virginia. She died too soon, not yet reaching her 21st birthday.
Tommi Beth was an eighth generation descendant of Franz von Gruner and Katharina Bergmann, descending through the Wenzel / Ben / Helen Gruner Johnson / Bill Johnson, Jr. / Sheryll Johnson Wade / Melissa Wade Williams line.
Family members in many parts of the country became interested in her when they learned she was the victim of terminal colon cancer. Sheryll, her grandmother, has kept our Gruner family up to date as the illness progressed.
Many prayers were said for her and her family, but she passed from our midst with the same peaceful grace with which she was blessed.
Melissa, Tommi Beth’s mother, is staying with Sheryll at present.
E-mail may be sent to popwade01 at msn.com
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 19, 4 PM at their church.
In lieu of flowers, the families have suggested a donation to the Colon Cancer Society or the American Cancer Society.
