David Gruner Passes Away

A message dated 12/27/2009 was received from Sylvia Horais of the passing of David Gruner, as follows

I realize few of you ever met Jack's boys, Mark and David, but I wanted you to know that David died suddenly due to an accident. There is very little information available until after his sister gets the report from the County Coroner and that won't be for another 6 weeks. The only thing I know for certain is that he was asphyxiated and it was accidental. There will be a memorial service in L.A. for David but the details aren't firm yet.

He was born 1 November, 1957, and died December, 2009. He was the elder son of John David Gruner (Glen Gruner family) and enjoyed some success as a child actor. Later on, David earned his Bachelor's in English with honors and taught high school English for many years in the Los Angeles school system. He had recently pursued an advanced degree with the goal of teaching at the college level.
