Philip A. Adolph (G-41-34) Passes Away
COLDWATER —Philip A. Adolph, 81, of Coldwater, died Wed. October 31, 2007 in Coldwater.
He was born May 23, 1926 in Coldwater to Frank and Leia (Anthony)
Adolph. He attended St Marks Episcopal Church. He helped at Kerrs
Hardware, Hoffs Farm Market, and various other places of employment.
He was a hard working farm boy during the 1930’s and 40’s. He
enjoyed visiting with people and walking and being outdoors. Philip’s
parents were prosperous and gracious people. Philip’s father won a blue
ribbon for the most corn per acre that being 100 bushels per acre.
His parents, Sister Virginia, and Uncle Seymour Adolph preceded him in
death.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday Nov. 2, 2007 at the St.
Marks Episcopal Church with Fr. Stephen Bartlett officiating. Burial
will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Coldwater. Visitation will be Friday
Nov. 2 from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Community Health Center of Branch
Co. Home Health and Hospice or Community Health Center of Branch
Co. Cancer Center. Arrangements by Gillespie Funeral Home.

I received word today from Kathryn Vesey Revis (G-7.3-51) that her husband, Noel Revis, died on February 9, 2007. Katherine is of the Wenzel Gruner-Edna Gruner Vesey branch. They lived most of their married life in Noblesville, Indiana.
Kathryn wrote:
"My husband has been in a nursing home since October. He has been lonely, in so much pain. He was 87 on the 9th of February and died on the 10th. We were married August 31, 1940. I have never been alone before."

Edwin Scott McCuddy, 68, of Memphis, a truck driver for J.B. Hunt, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 in Greenville, TN. He is survived by his wife, Helen L. McCuddy and four children. Mr. McCuddy is also survived by two sisters, Linda Kemp and Janet Shearer and one brother, Donald McCuddy and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday with burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Forest Hill Funeral Home East 901-382-1000
