Charles, a farmer, was born in Branch County on 10 September 1878 and died on 5 September 1956. In 1914 he married Bessie Smallbone, a sister of his brother Frank.. They had only one child, Donald Charles, born 3 May 1915, died in 2000. Donald and his wife, Marjorie Ann Copeland are parents of Linda Lee, Branch County Register of Deeds since 1974.
