LaNora Caroline Robinson – Ulysses S. Robinson

G-4.1-4 LaNora Caroline Adolph (1876 - 1965) was the fourth child of Philipp
Adolph and Clara Fox. She married U. S. Robinson in 1894. After having five
boys and one girl they were divorced and Nora was left with the farm to manage
and six children to raise and educate. A teacher before her marriage, she became
a school board member, lead a 4-H Club group and was an active member of
the Ladies Aid Society, the Congregational Church and the Eastern Star. She
did an admiral job of it all and was highly regarded in the community.
Her children were Victor, Milo, Paul, Frank, Ulysses, Jr., and Eva. They all died childless
except Frank who had a daughter, Mary Jo (Melbourne). Her son Milo never married
and lived with his mother and worked the farm until he died.
The original barn is still present, but the house is gone and has been replaced with
a large pole barn, not pictured, and two mobile homes.
